Over 20 health NGOs call for stronger EU action against alcohol during Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Cancer Prevention Action Week 2025
Cancer Prevention Action Week 2025, led by World Cancer Research Fund, runs from 23 to 29 June and focuses on the link between alcohol and cancer. With around 17,000 alcohol-related cancer cases each year in the UK, the campaign aims to raise awareness, spark national conversations, and push for stronger policies, including mandatory cancer warnings on labels and a new National Alcohol Strategy for England.
